MY POETRY HOME — trespassers welcome
(Saturday, February 26th, 2000)
on that day when on those black
mammoth hills between Mewi and
Lakutu I sat and watched the flaming
sun go down on the metronomic
passage of Time...
And she came up from God-knows-where to
sit and pass my long day's tarry with me,
only to presently leave me staring at her,
bedazzled and bewitched, as she soon again
moved on to God-knows-where,
leaving behind her trails of
sensuous passion without antidote...
Lust at first sight!
Shame: let the setting sun,
whose glory I had been adoring,
hide her celestial flambeaus in humility –
for the lambent light in this one's eyes
have blinded me with lust at first sight.
Mysterious like astronomy,
(the eyes) darting with
anonymous wonders, delectable like
the stolen bride of Ariston the King of Beauty,
there was no escaping from the
charm in her eyes; for she is
the one whose spell has gathered my soul
into the timeless artifice of eternity!
